GRANTSVILLE Blair Fay Bittinger, 64, of Grantsville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, July 7, 2017, at his residence.
Born Feb. 4, 1953, in Reading, Pa., he was the son of the late Clifford and Lucretia (Butler) Bittinger. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lorain and Marvin Bittinger and four sisters, Patricia Wilt, Hilda Butler, Katherine Felker and Dwonda Kelly.
Mr. Bittinger was a construction worker for Local Union 616, Cumberland. He was a member of Maranatha Christian Fellowship, Cumberland. Blair loved spending time with his family and going to church.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Deborah (Durst) Bittinger; two sons, Blair "Petey" Bittinger and wife, Candie, Allen "Mouse" Bittinger and wife, Kathy and one daughter, Joni (Bittinger) Weimer; six grandchildren, Tyler Bittinger and fiancé, Stephanie, Shawnie Bittinger, Torri Bittinger, Dakota Bittinger, Katlyn Weimer and Taylor Bittinger; one great-grandson, Luke Bittinger, all of Grantsville; two brothers, Joe Bittinger and wife, Nancy, Meyersdale, Pa., Rusty Bittinger and wife, Paula, St. Paul, Pa.; one sister, Elaine Durst and husband, David, Frostburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Sunday, July 9, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, July 10, 2017, at 1 p.m. with James Atkins officiating.
Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery.
