Christa's Story

Christa Rae Iman, 45, of Short Gap, went to be with her Lord Thursday, June 29, 2017.
She is the daughter of Bonnie Wilson (Stephen) and the late James H. Iman.
In addition to her dad, James Iman, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Virgil and Rachel Iman and Haven and Helen Grapes.
Crissy is survived by her mother, Bonnie Wilson (Stephen), Short Gap; three sons, Michael Tierney, Short Gap, Shawn Tierney (Korina), Green Spring, WV, and CJ Paugh, Piedmont, WV; one daughter, Bethany Paugh, Short Gap; and one brother, Darin Iman (Angela), Mt. Storm,WV. Engaged to be married in August, she is also survived by her fiancé James Harman; stepson Adam Harman; stepdaughter Nikki Harman; nephew Austin Iman; niece Hannah Iman; several aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends.
Crissy graduated from Frankfort High School, Class of 1990. She sang 2nd. Soprano in the Frankfort Choir.
She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Short Gap, and sang in the choir as a teenager.
Chrissy had been employed at Pilgrims Pride, American Woodmark, and Ollies.
She was a dedicated Redskins and Frankfort Falcon football fan.
Crissy loved her family very much, but her depression proved to be too strong. Crissy was a very giving personshe would have given you anything she had. She will certainly be missed by all of her family and friends.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Inc. Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 5-8 PM.
The service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home, with Pastor Scott Knowlton, officiating.
Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Tierney, Shawn Tierney, CJ Paugh, Bethany Paugh, Adam Harman, and Nathan Lloyd.
