KEYSER, W.Va. Dorothy Mae Billmyre, 95, of Linden Drive, Keyser, died Monday, May 8, 2017, at her residence.
Born on May 21, 1921, at Keyser, she was a daughter of the late Adam Salford and Elizabeth Becky (Rumer) Lewis. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Billmyre on March 12, 1991; a daughter, Sally E. Rotruck; a granddaughter, Stephanie Rotruck; eight brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Billmyre was formerly employed with the Keyser Garment Factory. She was a member of the Sunnyside Church of the Brethren, New Creek, and was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Queen's Point Memorial Post 6775, VFW, McCoole.
Surviving are her children, Byron E. "Barney" Billmyre and special friend, Penny; and her granddaughter, Emma of Winchester, Va., Brian E. Billmyre of Keyser and Margie E. Roy and husband, Fred, of Keyser; six grandchildren, Talitha Evans, Angela Washington, Brian Billmyre, Jr., Michelle "Micki" Laffey, Michael Roy and Gregory Rotruck, II; 10 great-grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, May 12, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 10 a.m. until noon.
A funeral service will be conducted immediately following the visitation on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at noon with Fred Roy officiating.
Interment will be in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
