Franklin "Frankie"'s Story
CUMBERLAND Franklin "Frankie" Cecil White Jr., 52, of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the home of his mother after his battle with Leukemia.
Born April 17, 1965, in Cumberland, Frankie was the son of Linda (Fisher) Hardman and husband, Kenny, Cumberland, and Franklin C. White Sr., and wife, Bev (Thomas) White, Sarasota, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William E. Fisher Sr., Edna A. Fisher, Roy C. White, and Betty Kemp.
Frankie was a graduate of Keyser High School but also attended Fort Hill High School.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Sue White and fiancé, Zachary McMahon, Cumberland; his sister, Lynnette (White) Brode and husband, John, Cumberland; and his stepsisters, Jessica Amtower, Moorefield, W.Va. and Rachael (Amtower) Long and husband, Bobby, Keyser, W.Va. He also leaves behind his stepmother, Dawn (Amtower) White, Moorefield, W.Va.; his cousin, who was like a brother, Leroy King; his grandchildren, who were the loves of his life, Sage Elizabeth McMahon and Kane Michael McMahon; his nephew, Daniel J. Brode; his niece, Megan C. Brode; his ex-wife, Barbara White; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, from 4 to 6 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 6 p.m. with the Reverend Bernadette Ross officiating.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Western Maryland Health Care System and the University of Maryland Hospital for their care of Frankie during this time.
