Joseph Glotfelty, 86, of Cumberland, died Monday, May 1, 2017, at the V.A.M.C. Martinsburg.
Born July 21, 1930, in Grantsville, he was the son of the late Orlando Jacob Glotfelty and Elsie (Stahl) Glotfelty. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Ann (Robertson) Glotfelty; two brothers, Carl and William Glotfelty; and one sister, Patsy Glotfelty.
He was a graduate of Grantsville High School and Catherman's Business School.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Glotfelty owned several businesses, including C&J Tires and GNS Electronics.
Survivors include his four children, Thomas Glotfelty and wife, Rebecca, David Glotfelty and wife, Karen, Susan Crowley and husband, Paul, and Brenda Harrison and husband, Fred; grandchildren, Brian Glotfelty, Geoff Glotfelty, Heather Eck and husband, Jeremy, Caitlin Kaye and husband, Jordan, James, Allison and John Crowley; two great-grandchildren, Lukas and Piper; and his brother, Robert Glotfelty.
As per his request, funeral arrangements are private.
