Leroy W. McCullough Jr., 56, of Bridge Street, Ridgeley, W.Va., died Sunday, April 23, 2017, at his residence.
Born on April 19, 1961, at Lexington, Ky., he was a son of the late Leroy Walter and Ruby Carolyn (Brock) McCullough.
Mr. McCullough was a 1979 graduate of Flintstone High School and was employed for several years by PennLine. He also formerly worked at Gee Bee's Department Store, Value City and Hills Deptartment Store, all in Cumberland. He was a member of Aerie 4186, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Strasburg, Va., and served in the United States Army from 1979 to 1981.
Surviving are one daughter, Stephanie Lynn Porter and husband, Matthew, of Frostburg; two grandchildren, Ayden James Martin and Mia Elizabeth Townsend; two brothers, Terry L. McCullough Sr. of Cresaptown and Jerry W. McCullough Sr. of Johnstown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
At Mr. McCullough's request, there will be no public visitation.
A committal service with military honors will be conducted in the chapel of the Maryland State Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap, Flintstone, on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at 1 p.m. Honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 13 Honor Guard, Cumberland.
Interment will follow.
The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Smith Funeral Home, 85 S. Main Street, Keyser, WV 26726 to assist in defraying final expenses.
