Margaret "Colleen" Morgan, 88, of Mount Savage, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Lions Center for Rehabilitation and Extended Care.
Born on Nov. 29, 1928, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Stephen and Anna Bernadine Boyle. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Bill" Morgan; sisters, Bernadine Grove and husband, Harry, Joan Logsdon, Eileen Bridges and husband, Homer; brother, Stephen Boyle; brother-in-law, George Flynn and James J. Murray.
Ms. Morgan was a graduate of Ursuline Academy, class of 1947; and was employed at the Celanese Corporation for 18 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church of Mount Savage, Catholic Daughters of America, Ancient Order of Hibernians and volunteered with weekly dinners at Mount Savage Fire Hall.
Colleen was a loving wife, sister and aunt who loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a cheerful giver and enjoyed visiting and playing cards. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Surviving are sisters, F. Elaine Flynn, Robertine B. Murray, Cumberland, and Maureen Lennox and husband, Bob, Mount Savage; a special niece, Karen Shaffer; brother-in-law, Patrick Logsdon; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins whom she dearly loved.
The family would like to thank Dr. Tan and the staff at Lions Center for their exceptional care provided to her. A special thanks to Fr. Eric Gauchat, hospital chaplain.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, on Monday, July 17, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 17, 2017, at 8 p.m.
A private family interment will be held in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Mount Savage.
