FORT ASHBY, W.Va. Paul Belles III, 60, of Fort Ashby, died on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Martinsburg.
Born May 2, 1957, in Colver, Pa., he was the son of the late Paul Belles Jr. and Elizabeth (Lee) Belles.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Paulette Belles.
Mr. Bettes had served in the U.S. Marines.
During his career as an automotive technician, he had worked for several businesses in the area.
He belonged to Annunciation of Our Lord Catholic Church.
Paul is survived by his wife, Lucy M. (O'Hara) Belles, Fort Ashby; his children, Paul Belles IV, Melissa Ann Cornman, and husband, Kenneth, and Jennifer McDonald, all of Fort Ashby; and grandchildren, Lance Cpl. Anthony Cornman, Iwakuni, Japan, Savannah and Maranda Belles, Keyser, Sierra and Taryn Cornman, Fort Ashby, and Meghan McDonald, Fort Ashby. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Wells, of Ingleside, Ill.; and extended family members, Eugenia Kimble, Keyser, and Christopher McDonald, Winchester.
Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Inc., Route 28, Fort Ashby, on Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. A prayer service will follow in the funeral home at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Fr. Mike Lecias, officiating.
Military honors will be accorded by Post 13 Veterans Honor Guard.
