Perry's Story

WILEY FORD, W.Va. Perry Edward Kline Sr., 83, of Wiley Ford, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born on May 12, 1934, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late H. Muriel and Nora (Owen) Kline. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, William and Muriel Kline Jr.
Perry was a graduate of Ridgeley High School. As a young boy, Perry worked along with his two brothers on his father's farm, known as Kline's Farm. He was also a truck driver all his life, working at Shipway's Trucking, Maryland Motors, Charlton Brothers, Smith Transfer, and owning his own trucking company, Kline's Freight retiring from ABF Trucking.
Perry was a member of the Antique Model Car Association, going to car shows with his 1930 Model A, which won many First Place awards. Perry's hobbies included going to yard sales, fixing things, and giving tours to his friends when they came for a visit in his garage.
Perry leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Connie L. (Shipway) Kline; daughter, Debra Hamilton and husband, Bud, Chambersburg, Pa.; sons, Perry Kline Jr. and wife, Sandy, Moorefield, Scott Kline and wife, Sharon, Cumberland, and Steven Kline, Ridgeley; grandchildren, Perry Kline III and wife Jill, Hope Mills, N.C., Brian Kline, Fayetteville, N.C., Ashley Bailey and husband, Ryan, Bakers, James Kline, Zachary Kline and Jacob Kline, Cumberland, and Tori and Aden Kline, Meyersdale, Pa.; sister, Nora "Tine" Higson and Ronald of Wiley Ford; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Nicholas Meek; and his beloved buddy, "Blackie," who loved going for rides in the van and getting hamburgers with him.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Perry Edward Kline III, Brian Adam Kline, James Allen Kline, Zachary Scott Kline, Jacob Edward Kline, Aden Kline, and Ryan Bailey.
Family will receive friends at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Sunday, July 16, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, July 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Doug Seaman officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
