MEYERSDALE, Pa. Ralph Franklin Paul, 94, of Meyersdale, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Frostburg Nursing and Rehabilitation, Frostburg.
Born May 16, 1923, in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Elmer and Iva C. (Baer) Paul. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Paul Jr. and one sister, Emma Briskey.
Mr. Paul worked for the Meyersdale Farm Bureau for eight years and Hercules Power Co. for 28 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Greenville Lutheran Church, Hillcrest Grange and Mt. Davis Maple Leaf Campers since 1969. Ralph and his wife, enjoyed camping, traveling and visiting with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ruth Loretta (Yutzy) Paul; one son, Ronald F. Paul and wife, Peggy, Salisbury; two daughters, Donna I. Linton and Carol A. Gehron, both of Lancaster; three brothers, George Edward, Dalton E. Paul and Lawrence E. Paul; four sisters, Bernice M. Deal, M. Kathleen Deal James, Dorothy M. Morrison and Barbara J. Kretchman; five grandchildren, Heather Gehron-Rice and husband, Doug, Jennifer D. Markee and husband, Tim, Mark C. Gehron, Jacquelin D. Price and Sara P. Ressler and husband, Brian; six great-grandchildren, Andrew D. Gehron-Rice, Benjamin L. Gehron-Rice; Drew W. Price, Logan R. Markee, Christopher Gehron and Carter Gehron.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy., Salisbury, on Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the Greenville Lutheran Church on Friday, June 16, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ingrid Chenoweth officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services.
Interment will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
