Early in life she gave her heart to the Lord. She was very active in the Dunkard Brethren Church and many other churches. Rosalie was a student of music and was often a song leader.
She was united in marriage on May 14, 1947, to Harold Homer Mellott and they were married 53 years. To this union two children were born, Paul (Carolyn), Battle Creek, Mich., and Elizabeth, who preceded her in death; a sister, Anna Elizabeth Miller and a brother, Earl Waldo Strayer, who also preceded her.

As a young girl, Rosalie made the decision to follow Christ and has continued this life long journey. Finally at dawn, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, she was welcomed home by the King, who she has served for these many years and was delighted to hear "Well done, good and faithful servant.....enter into the joy of thy Lord." Matthew 25:21 KJV
