Veronica's Story

CUMBERLAND Veronica L. "Ronnie" Breighner, 100, of Cumberland, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at Lions Center.
Born Oct. 22, 1916, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Shattal) Breighner.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph D. Breighner, David A. Breighner, Leo P. Breighner, Charles B. Breighner, Gerald O. Breighner, Paul A. Breighner, Francis Breighner, Edwin C. Breighner; and sisters, Bertha P. Breighner Youngblood, and Mary A. Breighner.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She attended St. Mary's Catholic school and resided with her sister, Mary and brother, David on Virginia Avenue. She had a positive spirit, and always had a smile for everyone. She enjoyed the music of Lawrence Welk. We thank the staff at the Kensington - Algonquin and Lions Center for their generous care of her.

Graveside services and interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cumberland.
