Virginia's Story

Virginia "Ginger" Wolfe, 92, of 1435 Beacons Street, Keyser, died on Friday, June 9, 2017 at her residence.
Born May 28, 1925, in Rowlesburg, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Muriel (Bolyard) Knotts. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Donald L. Wolfe on Feb. 24, 2013; and her brothers, Paul R. Knotts and Wallace Knotts.
Mrs. Wolfe was employed eight years as secretary at the Grace United Methodist Church, a branch manager for Sarah Coventry Jewelry for three years and had worked six years as Girl Scout leader and den mother for the Cub Scouts. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, VFW Post 6775 Auxiliary, Queens Point, where she served as secretary for 12 years and a member of U.T.U. Auxiliary.
Surviving are her daughter, Donna and her husband, John "Jack" Atkinson, of Keyser; her son, Kenneth Wolfe and his wife, Sandra, of Morgantown; three grandchildren, Kelli Atkinson-Kasmier and partner Terry "Buck" Cain, Barbara Atkinson-Tuel, both of Keyser and Troy Schifano and his wife, Shannon, of Morgantown; five great-grandchildren, Mary Kate Kasmier, Alexis Kesner and husband, Johnny, Hunter Kasmier, Ashton Tuel and Gisella Schifano.
Friends will be received at the Markwood Funeral Home, Keyser, on Monday, June 12, 2017, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Markwood Funeral Home Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Lauren Godwin officiating.
Interment will follow in Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.
