ROMNEY, W.Va. Wanda Mae Hott, 83, of Romney, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, at Winchester Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Born on June 7, 1934, in Slanesville, she was the daughter of the late William Wince and Nellie Brown Wince.
She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church and the Hampshire Co. Democratic Club. She was a graduate of Romney High School. She had been employed the WV School for the Deaf and Blind for 20 years.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-father, Harry Grace; a son, Sidney Hott; a brother, Frank Wince; a sister, Rosaline Turner; and a grandson, Zeb Stickley.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Mae Furgeson and husband, Jim of Fairmont, Karen Sue Stickley of Augusta; a son, Ronald D. Hott of Romney; five grandchildren, Devon Hott, Kara Pearce and husband, Jeff, Brenna Hott, Jayme Ferguson and companion, Stefan, Aaron Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Antonio Lanzetta, Taven Pearce, and Izabella Striba.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Zoar Baptist Church, Augusta, with Pastor Michael Cheshire officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.
All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta.
