Alan C. Cuppett Obituary

Ridgeley, Wv - Alan C. Cuppett, lifelong resident and business owner in Ridgeley, died April 19, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Cumberland, Md., Alan was the son of the late Mary Madalean Zollner Cuppett and Carlton Robert Cuppett.

He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Mike Zollner and Gary Cuppett.

Alan was a graduate of Ridgeley High School and was an apprenticed cosmetologist at age 18. He enjoyed taking care of clients at his salon, "Mr. Alan's," on Knobley Street. Alan was considered a "hair artist," offering services for men, women and children so they could be "Fabulous!" The salon also offered make-up, skin care, hair products and fashion accessories. Patrons enjoyed the outdoor oasis on the second floor of the salon.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Wanda Zollner; and nieces and nephews.

At his request, Alan donated his body to the WVU Human Gift Registry — a gift which promotes medical education and research.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced next month.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 354, Ridgeley, WV 26753.
