Albert Francis Burke, 80, of Midland, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2024, after a short illness at Sterling Care, Frostburg. Born on Dec. 1, 1943, in Latrobe, Pa., he was the son of the late Paul "Pete" Burke and Harriet E. (Miller) Burke.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elizabeth A. (Hausrath) Burke, they had been married for 49 years; a brother, Ronald J. Burke; and a sister, Priscilla "Sis" Burke.

Albert was a truck driver who drove for many companies over the years. At the end of his truck driving career, he was self-employed and enjoyed traveling the country hauling boats. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, making homemade bread, watching old television shows, especially westerns and feeding the birds in his many bird feeders. He loved his family and his feline companion, Lincoln, very much.

He is survived by four daughters, Nancy Frost and husband Jay Sr. of Cumberland, Md., Jill Davis and husband James Jr. of Burlington, W.Va., Anita McGregor and husband Mike of Lonaconing, Md., and Julie Durrence and husband William "Scott" of LaVale, Md.; grandchildren, Jay Frost Jr. and wife Jessica, Christopher Frost, Vanessa Frost, Nicholas Frost, Keith Donaldson and wife Samantha, Keri Donaldson, Kristin Rich, Michael McGregor and Victoria Gordon, Kayla Green and husband Dakota, Logan Kyle, Levi Kyle and Jaden Durrence; great-grandchildren, Aizen, Amelia, Amari, Prince "Carter", Nala, Mya, Myla, Matthew, Sage, Kali, Brayden, Trinity, Mia Mae, Harper, Axl, Izzy, Ryleigh and Quincy; brother-in-law, Donald Bittner; sister-in-law, Cindy (Freeman) Burke; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., with Pastor David Hattenfield officiating.
