Williamsport, PA - Albert P. "Ab" Dively, 93, of Williamsport, Pa., passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at UPMC Williamsport Hospital. He was the son of John W. Dively and Lillian V. (Sipple) Dively.

Mr. Dively was born in Meyersdale, Pa., and graduated in 1950 from Meyersdale Area High School. He served as an Army Private (Ordinance Depot) in Korea from 1953 to 1955. He graduated from California State Teachers College in California, Pa., and retired as a biology teacher at Northern High School in Accident, Md., in 1978.

He was an adventurer and loved nature, motorcycles and cars. When he was not teaching, he was fixing motorcycles and other small engines. After retirement, he moved to Florida and opened Kilroy's Pizza shop. In the late 1980's, he moved back to Pennsylvania, opening a bar/restaurant in Dunlo. He returned to Florida for a while, then came back to Pennsylvania in June of 2023 to be near family after hurricane Ian hit Fort Myers in September of 2022.

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; his ex-wife, Barbara (Wilt) Truman; an infant son, John M. Dively; brother, John Dively; brothers-in-law, Jesse Yeager and James Shaffer; sisters, Clara Yeager and Margaret Laubach; sisters-in-law, Patricia Wiland and Colleen Shaffer; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Dively; and lifelong friends, Ottis D. Baer, Ronald M. Barmoy and Harold Crissinger.

Surviving Albert are his ex-wife, Manda Baer; his children, Albert C. Dively, Richard W. Dively and Suzanne (Thomas) Smith; a granddaughter, Nicole (Andrew) Belcher; two great-grandsons, Calvin and Sullivan Belcher; nieces and nephews.

At his request, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, PA 15558.
