CUMBERLAND - Aletha Byrle (Christner) Sanner, 80, of Cumberland, formerly of Garrett, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2019, at Western Maryland Health System.
Born Feb. 19, 1939, in Garrett, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Leona (Haer) Christner . She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin "Jack" Sanner.
Surviving are her sisters, Eleve Romesburg, Meyersdale, Pa., Karen and Paul Meyers, and Lynnie and Ken O'Neil, Cumberland; niece, Kimberly Romesburg; nephews, Steve Meyers, Ryan O'Neil, Roger O'Neil, and Tim Meyers; and Aletha's best friend and great-niece, Ashley Meyers.
Aletha was a member of Mount Tabor Lutheran Church, Garrett.
Friends will be received at M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, Pa., on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019, from noon to 2 p.m.
Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Connie Garlick officiating.
Interment in Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
