Little Orleans, Maryland - Allan Franklin Fletcher, age 93, of Little Orleans, died on Monday, March 20, 2017, at his home.

Born Sept. 12, 1923, he was the son of the late Philip Howard and Etta (Price) Fletcher; and the widower of Anna Jane (Hollenbaugh) Fletcher, who died March 20, 1997. They were married 50 years.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War ll. He retired from the Allegany County Roads Department as a supervisor.

He is survived by four daughters, Alice Turner and her husband, Bob, Carol Riggleman and her husband, Robert, Penny Powell and her husband, Russell, all of Little Orleans, and Beverly Moyer and her husband, Larry, of Artemas, Pa.; two brothers, Boyd Fletcher of Little Orleans and John Aaron Fletcher of Hagerstown; two sisters, Reba Munson of Boonsboro and Etta Iona Creek of Williamsport; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Roy Fletcher Sr.; three sisters, Grace Normalee Creek, Margaret Fields, and Valna Purnell; and two brothers, Philip Francis Fletcher and Clem Fletcher.

The family will receive friends at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, on Thursday, March 23, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the services on Friday.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017, at noon at the funeral home. The Rev. Larry Trail will officiate.

Burial, with military honors by the Tri-State Honor Guard, will follow at Price Memorial Cemetery in Little Orleans. Following the service at the cemetery, there will be a luncheon held at the Little Orleans Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main Street, Hancock, MD 21750, to help defray funeral expenses.
