Artemas, PA - Allen M. Jay, 86, of Clear Ridge Road, Artemas, Pa., passed away at Bedford Post-Acute on Friday, March 06, 2026. He was born Nov. 21, 1939, in Artemas, Pa., a son of the late Frank and Orintha Pearl (Tewell) Jay. On Feb. 6, 1960, in Yellow Creek, he married Helen Jeanetta (Browell) Jay. She preceded him in death on Dec. 12, 2012.

He is survived by three children, Catharine, married to Warren Shatzer, Clearville, Pa.; Patricia, married to A. Edward Clark, Clearville, Pa.; and Bryan Jay, Artemas, Pa. He will always be remembered by his nine grandchildren, Elaina Carroll, Allie Frear, Luke Clark, Kelley Rohrbaugh, Jacob Jay, Erin Jay-Burket, Nathaniel Clark, Elizabeth Jay and Andrew Jay; and eight great-grandchildren.

Allen was preceded in death by two daughters; and the following siblings, Leo F. Jay, Adna Assel, Wanda Shipley and Mary Kathryn Smith.

Allen was a graduate from Everett High School Class of 1956. He owned and operated their family dairy farm for many years alongside his wife, and later his son and grandsons, and a family-owned butcher shop. Farming, family and friends were his highest priority. Spending time, working together, telling stories and laughing were what he liked to do. He enjoyed seeing his great-grandchildren. He especially looked forward to seeing Peyton, who greeted him with a "Hey Pap".

Friends and family may call at the Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, Pa., on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at noon.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at noon in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home, Everett, with Pastor Todd Jay officiating.

Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Artemas.
