Berkeley Springs, WV - BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. [mdash] Anna Lee Wandless, 81, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026.

Born May 21, 1944, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Mary Shoemaker.

She married Samuel Wandless on Jan.9, 1963. They settled down in Flintstone, Md., to raise their six children. Anna was a natural-born homemaker and loved caring for children. She enjoyed car rides and good food.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Arnold "Tucky" Wandless; brother, Clarence Shoemaker; and sister, Dorothy Rose.

Anna is survived by her sons, Sam Wandless, and wife, Diane; and Freddie Wandless, and wife, Trisha; and daughters, Anna Vangosen, Teresa Brothers, and Rita Norris; along with 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home in Hancock, Md., followed by a graveside service at Mahnes Chapel in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
