Cumberland, Maryland - Arthur Thomas Brown, 92, of Cumberland, Md., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025 at Cumberland Healthcare Center.
Born Dec. 12, 1932 in Cumberland, Md., Mr. Brown was the son of the late Raymond Henry Brown and Lillian Arbutus (Miller) Brown. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Audrie Alice Brown; a son, Arthur Brown, II; an infant great-granddaughter, Iris Flanagan; and his siblings, Ruth Porter, Dorothy Kerns, Harley Brown, James Brown, Ruth Porter, Sharon Cowgill, Catherine Wandless.
A United States Army veteran during the Korean War, Arthur retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass. He was a dedicated member of Central Assembly of God.
Arthur is survived by his daughters, Janet Bittner, Diana Turner, and Cindy Lacey; his sons, Steven Brown and David (Noel) Brown; his sisters, Naomi Lynch and Janice McBride; his grandchildren, Jason Bittner, Hope Crawford, Christopher Bittner, Tristan Apple and Isaac (Jenny) Turner; his great-grandchildren, Samantha Lewis, Caleb Cornwell, Blake Rhodes, Chandler Rhodes, Sparrow Shannon, Graycee Jo Turner and Willow Turner; as well as his great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A, 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD (www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com) on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025 from 10 a.m. to Noon. A funeral service will begin at Noon with Pastor Douglas Seaman officiating.
Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans' Cemetery at Rocky Gap.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard.
