Cumberland, Maryland - Betty Jo Burner, 83, of Cumberland, Md., passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at UPMC Western Maryland.
Born on Jan. 16, 1943, in Cumberland, Md., Betty was the daughter of the late Josephine N. (Twigg) Martin and James W. Martin. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Erbe; her grandson, James William Staples; and her sisters, Peggy, Patty and Ina Rae.
Betty retired from Allegany Ballistics and enjoyed socializing and playing tip jars.
Betty is survived by her children, Donna Staples (Gerald) and Jerry Burner (Nancy); her brother, Ed Martin; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There are no services planned at this time.
