Mrs. Betty Lou Craft (LuLu) Obituary

911 Holbrook Circle, Fort Walton Beach, Forida - FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. [mdash] Betty Lou Craft, affectionately known as "Lu Lu," passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., at the age of 92.

Born on January 19, 1933, in Greenup County, Ky., she was the daughter of Jesse and Lola White. In 1951, Lu Lu graduated from Portsmouth High School in Portsmouth, Ohio. She met and married Robert Craft from New Boston, Ohio, in 1953.

Lu Lu was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents, Jesse and Lola White; her sister, Rita Pugh of Fulton, Mo.; her sister, Jean Simkins of Chillicothe, Ohio; and her brother, Jesse White of Xinnia, Ohio.

She is survived by her two remaining siblings, Diana Payton (husband, Donald) of South Shore, Ky., and Bill White (wife Barbara) of Cincinnati, Ohio; her son, David Craft; daughters, Lisa Peterson (husband, Kevin) and Laura Harris (husband, Michael). She is also survived by grandchildren, Tiffany Seren, Sarah Shade, Brittany Benton, Rachel McGann, Daniel Peterson, Morgan Craft, Nicholas Craft, Wendy Turissini and Greg Daniels; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Lu Lu was a cherished mother and grandmother, known for her warmth and unwavering support of her family. She dedicated her life to loving her family and serving Jesus Christ with his followers at Fort Walton Beach Church of Christ. She felt an extraordinary love for her church family.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A celebration of life will be held at McLaughlin Mortuary on Chestnut Ave in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, on June 24, 2025, at 2 p.m. All are welcome.
