Betty Gwendolyn Saunders Obituary

Betty Gwendolyn Saunders, 93, of Ellicott City, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at Encore at Turf Valley.

Born Nov. 20, 1924, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Carlton W. and Edna L. Bucy Todd. She was the wife of the late George Saunders.

Betty had worked at USF&G and was a homemaker for most of her life. She was one of the original members of Bethany Lane Baptist Church in Ellicott City. She had been a caregiver to her mother and to her niece, Beverly.

Surviving are son, Carlton N. Saunders, Sabillasville; grandson, Matthew Saunders and wife, Carlie, Ellicott City; and daughter-in-law, Debora Hoffman Saunders, Ellicott City. She is also survived by many relatives in Howard County and Cumberland.

She was predeceased by her brother, Marvin Todd.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
