LITTLE ORLEANS - Beverly Ruth (Ginter) Appel, age 50, died on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at her home, in Little Orleans.
Born Monday, March 21, 1966, in Fort Thomas, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Janet (Batten) Ginter, and her father and step-mother, Harry R. and Christine Ginter, of Cold Spring, Ky.
She is survived by her husband, Craig L. Appel, whom she married on Jan. 28, 1989, in Tacoma, Wash.
She was a 1984 graduate of Highlands High School, in Fort Thomas. She was a Kentucky Colonel.
She had been employed as a CNA with the Allegany Nursing and Rehab facility, in Cumberland. She also worked at Pet Smart, in Hagerstown.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, in Little Orleans.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Kimberly M. Appel, of Little Orleans; a brother, Raymond (Reg) Ginter and his wife, Norma Jean, of Morehead, Ky.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brittany Janet Appel.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m., at the Grove Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 12517 Saint Patrick Road SE, Little Orleans, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, with Father John Lombardi officiating.
Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
