FORT ASHBY, W.Va. - Bonnie Belle Wagoner, 82, of Fort Ashby, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, at Devlin Manor Health Care Center.
Born Aug. 2, 1937, in Syracuse, Ind., Mrs. Wagoner was the daughter of the late Robert E. Thompson and Rita Opal (Harris) Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her latest husband, Alden "Pooch" Wagoner; her baby brother, Buddy Thompson; and her sisters, Jennie Lee Blauch and Betty Jo Hall.
A graduate of Fort Ashby High School, Class of 1955, Bonnie was a United States Naval Veteran and was an employee of Day's Market for 18 years. She enjoyed working there and getting to know the customers. Bonnie always had a smile on her face and was well loved by her family, especially her grandchildren.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Terry Blankenship and husband, Scott; and her sons, Greg Garver and wife, Kim; and Caldwell "Butchie" Burnette. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters, Lila Lu Sommerlott; Julia Etta Kennell and husband, James, Ella Mae Iman, Waldon "Scotty" Sturms and wife, Francine, Sandra Sue Mood, and Johnny Ray Sturms and wife, Patty. Bonnie is also survived by her grandchildren, Stephen Garver; Kelsey Riggleman and husband, Matt, Tyler Blankenship, and Cody Blankenship; her step grandchildren, Amy, Jessica, Daryl, and Natasha; her great grandchildren, Abrianna Garver, Brody Riggleman, and Austin Riggleman; her step great-grandchildren, Malik, David, and Hannah; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Charles Riggleman officiating.
Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.
