Borden Wade "Billy" Dolly, 78, of Cumberland, passed away April 11, 2017, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born April 17, 1938, he was the son of the late Irad Dolly and Olive (Ash) Dolly. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Blaine, Ellis, Leo, Carroll and Presley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Faye Dolly; and three children, Gloria Hardman and husband, Steve, Oldtown, Tammy Heavner and finance, Scott, of Kingwood, W.Va., and Toby Dolly, Cumberland. He is also survived by five siblings, Kenneth, Ernie, Nelson, Retha Twigg and Eleanor VanMeter. Billy had 11 granchildren that he absolutely adored, Erika Heavner, Travis Heavner, Jeremiah Hardman, Alyssa Dolly, Garrett Dolly, Cody Dolly, Lexi Dolly, and Laicey Dolly, his "sunshine." Billy had two great-grandsons, Justin Heavner and Marshall Hardman.
Billy had many children in his life that referred to him as "Grandpap" and several nieces and nephews that meant the world to him.
He was a graduate of Flintstone High School and retired from Schmidt's Baking Company.
Billy faught a long hard fight with lung cancer and will be sadly missed by many.
It was his wish to have his body donated to Science. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
