Cumberland, Maryland - Brenda Sue Marrale, 65, of Cumberland, Md., passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born on June 15, 1961, in Cumberland, Md., Brenda was the daughter of Shirley (Abey) Michael and the late Glendon "Mikey" Michael.

Brenda enjoyed teaching dance at several locations in the area and doing hair. She worked for her parents at Custom Floors in LaVale, and later in life decided to change careers and offered her exceptional cleaning skills to others.

Brenda loved watching the Maryland Terrapins, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, and "Family Feud." She also loved organizing parties and social events for numerous people.

After her diagnosis, every moment spent with her grandchildren made the bad days better. They truly were the light of her life.

Besides her mother, Brenda is survived by her husband of 35 years, who has always been there for her, Louie Marrale; her sons, Josh D'Atri, and Hunter Marrale and wife Ashley; her grandchildren, Hailey Glausser and husband Riley, Noah D'Atri, Landon and Parker "Maniac" Marrale; her great-grandchild, Haven Glauuser; her brother, Barry Michael and wife Kendra, and their daughter Jayna Michael, and her close friend who was like the sister she never had, Pam and Dave Iser.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, MD 21502, www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com, on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m., with Pastor Dan Twigg officiating.
