March 23, 1958 - June 8, 2025
Bruce A. Brooks, Jr., 67, of Cumberland, Md.; passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 08, 2025. He was born on March 23, 1958, the son of the late Bruce A. Sr., and Barbara M. (Green) Brooks. On July 20, 2007, he was united in marriage to Robin (Johnson) Brooks.
Bruce is survived by his wife, and children, John Brooks (Corinna) of Battletown, Ky.; Chris Brooks (Christian) of Short Gap, W.Va.; Chastity (Brad) Buckley; Nicole Pringle (Marl Beegle); and Christopher Pringle (fiancé Debra); grandchildren, Jakob, Alec, Aidyn, Devon, Seth, Blake, Quenton, Cody, Blu, Hannah (fiance Ethan), Riley, Ella, Bailey, Wyson, Cameron and Carsen; siblings, Ben Brooks, Brian Brooks, Betsy, Bonnie, Belinda, Brenda.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Conner; and a sister, Barbie.
Bruce was a graduate of Twin Lakes High School, West Palm Beach, Fla., Class of 1975. He was employed by Dominion Power as an electrician until his retirement in 2018. He loved going fishing at Chincoteague and always planned to retire to the south but not too far south. Most of all he loved being surrounded by family.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
