Carla Darlene Burleson, 60, of Lonaconing, died Feb. 26, 2025, at UPMC-Western Maryland.

Born April 10, 1964, in Cumberland, she is the daughter of Carol (Shepherd) Burleson and the late Carl H. Burleson.

In addition to her mother, Carla is survived by her children, Noel Watson Bellamy and Elizabeth Irene Meinhardt (Jesse); grandchildren, Jackson Meinhardt and Elaina Swinson; sister, Nancy Billings (Mike) and children, Capri Holderby and Michael Billings; aunt, Shirley Snyder (Alan); uncle, Frank Shepherd; and several cousins including Debra Rae VanMeter (Jimmy).

Carla's faith in God and support from family helped her deal with many health issues.

She believed her main purpose in life was family: where she could help her children and precious grandchildren learn, grow, develop, and love. In addition to her family, Carla had love and purpose in helping others and animals, no matter if a stranger. She strived to bring beauty to every soul she encountered in life.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Holy Cross United Methodist Church at a later date.
