Keyser, WV - KEYSER, W.Va. [mdash] Carol Ann Willis, 74, of Jackson Street, Keyser, formerly of Rawlings, Maryland, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at her sister's residence in Rawlings while under the care of UPMC Western Maryland Hospice.
Born on July 3, 1951, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Marshall "Monk" and Lavona "Bonnie" (Broadwater) Wilt. She also was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Daniel "Danny" Willis Jr., on January 19, 2025.
Carol was a 1969 graduate of Bruce High School in Westernport, and received her LPN training in Elkins, W.Va., and then went on to Allegany Community College in Cumberland where she received her RN degree.
She formerly worked at Garrett Regional Medical Center in Oakland, Maryland and at Memorial Hospital and Sacred Heart Hospital in Cumberland, finishing her career at the Thomas P. Finan Center in Cumberland.
Carol was also an avid bowler, having bowled in several different leagues at both The Bowler in LaVale and Rainbow Lanes in Keyser.
She attended the Harmony Baptist Church in Westernport.
Through all of her trials and tribulations, Carol believed in God and how He was always by her side. We are quite confident that God, with his healing touch, came to get Carol, and she is now in His arms.
Surviving is her brother, Marshall "Tom" Wilt, and wife, Jean of LaVale; her sister, Bonnie "Ivalou" Connor, and husband, Robert of Rawlings; two nephews, Joseph and Shane Connor; and a niece, Shelley Snyder.
Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted immediately following the visitation at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Nate Nickerson officiating.
Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland, MD.
