Carolyn Sue (Ray) Crites, age 71, of Petersburg, passed away Friday afternoon, Sept. 24, 2021, at her home.
Born July 24, 1950, in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Ray and Hazel Elizabeth (Muse) Ray.
She was a graduate of Elk Garden High School, Class of 1968.
Carolyn loved spending time with her family and traveling places. She also enjoyed making crafts in her free time and spending time with her special granddaughter.
Surviving is her loving daughter, Erica Glotfelty and fiancé, Sam Kessel, of Oakland; special granddaughter, Nicole Glotfelty, of Oakland; life companion and best friend, Jim Crites; and furry friend, Bella, of Petersburg. Also surviving are two brothers, several nieces and a nephew.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
