Charles Alexander Hausrath Obituary
Charles Alexander Hausrath, 85, of Fort Ashby, W.Va., died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, at UPMC-Western Maryland, Cumberland. Born on April 25, 1938, he was the son of the late Charles Leslie Hausrath and Helen Marie (Myers) Hausrath.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Burke and Carol Bittner; and his beloved wife, Wanita (Clark) Hausrath.
Charles was a 1956 graduate of Valley High School, the first graduating class. He worked for the Celanese as an electrician before continuing his career with the IBEW Local Union 307, Cumberland. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and handling the yardwork.
He is survived by his stepson, Bradley Berry of Front Royal, Va.; three brothers-in-law, Albert Burke of Midland, Donald Bittner of LaVale, and Wheeler Clark of Peyton, Colo.; and several nieces and a nephew.
There will be no services. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, is assisting the family.
