Charles William Lyons, 86, of Westernport, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1936, and was the son of the late Charles "Chap" Lyons and Leila (Shaw) Lyons.

He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Joyce; his two sons, Mark and Charles R. Lyons; his son-in-law, Edward Smith; grandson, Justin Dolly; his two brothers and their wives, Frances and Maxine Lyons and Kenny and Jeannie Wilson.

Charles had been an ordained minister for the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He retired from Westvaco Paper Mill after 40 years of employment there.

As a young man, he attended Holmes Bible College in Greenville, S.C.

At the time of his death, he resided at the Cumberland Healthcare Center, due to severe dementia, where their wonderful staff took good care of him for the past several years.

He is survived by his daughters, Joy Smith, of Westernport, and Debi Genovesi and husband, Nick, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; his grandchildren, Clint Lyons, of Westernport, Jessica Alexander, and Jessica's children, Kambria and Koltin Spalding, Lesley McCutheon and husband, Brian, and their three children; a grandson, Garhet Dolly; daughter-in-law, Lisa Lyons; and both of his brothers' children, and his nieces and nephews.

There was a private service for immediate family only.

Private interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Barton.
