Cheryl J. May (Chatty) Obituary

Cheryl "Chatty" J. May, 57, of Bedford, Pa., passed away suddenly, on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

Cheryl was born in Bedford, on Oct. 1, 1965, daughter of the late Donald Griffith and Shirley (Growden) Griffith.

She is survived by her husband, William, whom she married, on May 4, 2001. Also survived by mother, Shirley Griffith, of Cumberland Valley Twp.; daughter, Kayla Dawn Miller, of Bedford; stepson, William May III, husband of Brittny (Riley), of Bedford; grandson, Dominick Tirpak; stepgranddaughter, Madison May; brother, Randy Griffith, of Schellsburg; sister, Teresa, wife of Charles Madsen, of Mich.; brother, Blane, husband of Marsha (Moreland) Griffith, of Bedford; sister, Pam, wife of Steve Guyer, of Bedford; nieces and nephews, Jesse, Meghan, Kylie and Nathan. Cheryl was preceded in death by sister, Linda Wertz; and nephew, Trevor.

She worked at Bedford Ford, for 31 years, and at the Courthouse - first, in the Sheriffs office, and most recently, at the District Attorney's, for numerous year. She was a member of Bedford American Legion Post 113, Bedford Springs Order of Eastern Star Chapter 41. She loved fishing, family time, and playing cards.

Services will be held at a later date.
