LONACONING [mdash] Colleen Virginia (Bittinger) Llewellyn, 89, of Jackson Mountain, Lonaconing, died Thursday, September 7, 2023, at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland. Born on September 16, 1933, in Lonaconing at her grandparents, Chester and Media Green's home, to Elmer Bittinger and Clara (Green) Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Stephen Llewellyn, on March 17, 2011, and great-nephew, Jaron McDonald.
Colleen loved to cook and bake; she canned over 1,000 jars out of her garden. She and her husband Stephen built their home, barn, and chicken coop; she was a hard worker. Colleen never complained of being tired.
She is survived by her sister, Elaine Jacobs; two brothers, Roger and Nancy Pierce, and Paul and Vicki Pierce; special kids, Michael McDonald and wife, Keisha; Blake McDonald; Ashlynn McDonald; Michael McDonald, Jr., and Mylee McDonald; a special nephew, Roy DeBouck, who took care of her; and lots of other nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be missed by many.
At her request, she will be cremated. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing is assisting the family.
