Corriganville, MD - David Henry Diehl, 71, of Corriganville, Md., passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Born Sept. 10, 1954, in Charleston, W.Va., David was the son of the late Ann (Pate) Holmes and Clyde Diehl. He was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Billy and Martha Kennell; his brothers, Jimmy Holbrook, Frankie Holbrook and Curtis Diehl; his sister, Kay Kendall; and his son, Jamie Lacomb.

David attended Hyndman High School and attended college. He was a foreman for several different construction companies. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom foraging and being outdoors, especially by the river.

David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Karen Diehl; his daughter, who was the apple of his eye, Brittany Diehl; his son, Travis Diehl and significant other Ashley Lambeg; and Jerimie Diehl and wife Lindsey; his granddaughter, who meant the world to him, Layla Diehl; his sisters, Etta Helmstetter and Dora Stranathan; as well as several other in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. David was blessed by a large family and many friends.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, MD 21502, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor Ken Korns officiating.
