David Lee Sexton Jr., 28, of Hagerstown, passed away on Nov.18, 2018, at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, after a courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis, which included a double lung transplant last Christmas.

Born Thursday, Sept. 13, 1990 in Frederick, he was the son of David Lee Sexton, Sr. and Darla Elaine (Rosenberger) Sexton of Myersville.

David graduated from Middletown High School in 2008. He was first employed as an Auto Technician with Midas and Shockley Honda in Frederick. Currently he was employed as a Communication Specialist with the Washington County 911 Center. David was a member of the Long Meadow Fire Department. He also enjoyed competitive paint balling at Paint Ball Adventure Park in Taneytown, MD. David loved fishing and was a lover of animals and an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Besides his parents he is survived by his brother, Justin M. Rosenberger of Cumberland; special niece, Brooklynn Rosenberger; maternal grandmother, Mary E. Rosenberger of Cumberland; aunts & uncles, Jon & Terri Rosenberger of Cumberland, George Sexton of San Antonio, Texas, John & Melody Sexton of Myersville, Mark Sexton of Frederick, and Paul Sexton of Hagerstown; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wayne & Ruth Sexton; maternal grandfather, Jon Rosenberger, Sr.; aunts & uncles, Ruthie Sexton,Wayne Sexton, II, Donna Sexton and Karen Sexton. His special pets Angel & Whiskers, were waiting to greet him at Rainbow Bridge.

Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor Terry Martin officiating.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.

Interment will be at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Myersville.
