Mount Storm, WV - Delores Cosner Nesselrodt, 83, of Mount Storm, W.Va., peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
Born on April 14, 1942 in Bismarck, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Elwood M. and Mary V. (Moreland) Cosner. She also was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Ray J. Nesselrodt who passed on March 5, 2006 and by two brothers, Roger W. Cosner and Cecil E. Cosner.
Delores is survived by three daughters, Tamela Raye Kitzmiller and husband Gary of Elk Garden, W.Va., Gina Marie Smith of McHenry, Md., and Lori Ann Ellison of Middletown, Va. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren, Logan Kitzmiller and wife Renee of Fort Ashby, W.Va., Amanda Kitzmiller of Elk Garden, Joshua Smith and Sarah Smith, both of McHenry, Robert Ellison of Winchester, Va., and Matthew and Elizabeth Ellison, both of Middletown and four cherished great grandchildren, Liam Kitzmiller and Peyton Kimble, both of Fort Ashby and Kade Ellison and Lexi Ellison of Winchester. Also surviving is her sister, Pamela Nash and husband Ryland; sisters-in-law, Beulah Cosner Wegman and Rose Nesselrodt of Charles Town, W.Va.; brothers-in-law, Lonnie Mauzy of Dorcas, W.Va., and Roger Nesselrodt and his wife Wanda of Maysville, W.Va.; many precious nieces and nephews and a long time treasured friend, Wanda Dawson of Mt. Lake Park, Md.
Delores was a member of Calvary Temple in Mount Storm. She was a 1960 graduate of Bayard High School and dedicated over 20 years of her professional life as a keypunch operator and control clerk with TDEC (formerly IMBI) in Oakland, Md. During her career, she formed many lifelong friendships that she held dear. Upon retirement, she devoted herself fully to her family, creating countless treasured memories with her grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, services will be private for the family with Rev. David Davis and Rev. Ruth Davis officiating.
Interment will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Bismarck, W.Va.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Moran Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation for their compassionate and attentive care.
