Arlington, VA - Dennis Alan Coyle was born June 25, 1964, the youngest of seven siblings. He was an uncle at age 5, and Uncle Dennis to many more thereafter. Dennis died April 4, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.

Dennis earned both his bachelor's degree and master's degree at Frostburg State university. He worked in various positions for a number of federal agencies.

Dennis left Cumberland to work in the D.C. area but his heart stayed in the mountains, which he visited whenever he could. He loved to travel and was never happier than when he was on a cruise ship at sea. He also loved the theatre and sought out local performances, and he especially loved Broadway.

Dennis had a soft spot in his heart for all animals, especially those abandoned or needing a home.

Dennis first found joy in 1998 when he met Dave Mallory, and was thrilled to be married to Dave on June 27, 2008. Dennis is survived by Dave Mallory, and Rookie and Oliver, his last of a line of rescued kittens. He will also be missed by the entire Coyle and Mallory clans.
