Bloomington, Maryland - BLOOMINGTON [mdash] Dennis "Denny" Leslie Wolfe, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Oct. 2, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was 74.
Born in Keyser, W.Va., on Nov. 7, 1950, Denny was the son of Charles "Ducky" Wolfe and Mildred "Midge" Barr Folk. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Glenn Folk; and a stepsister, Donna Jean Walker. He is survived by his stepsister, Lori Lee Bowers, of American Falls, Idaho.
Denny graduated from Bruce High School with the Class of 1969. Throughout his life, he held several professions.
He first worked as a mechanic at Morton Chevrolet in Frostburg; later, joined the Service Department at Celanese in Cumberland; and ultimately dedicated 32 years to Westvaco Pulp and Paper Mill, Luke, where "Wolfecat" performed a variety of roles prior to retiring.
Denny was also a proud member of the Bloomington Volunteer Fire Department.
On July 31, 1976, Denny married Sharon Kay Broadwater, and together they shared 49 years. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, and their children, Dennis Leslie Wolfe II and Tracey Lynn Wolfe, both of Bloomington; and Crystal Dawn (Mike) Whetstone of Westernport. Denny's beloved grandchildren- Blake, Bryson, Matthew, Skyler, Jacob, and Isabella- brought immense joy to his life. Also left to cherish his memory are his aunt and uncle, and his mother-in-law, Norma Lee Broadwater, (who loved Denny like a son); and many extended family members and friends who will sorely miss him.
Family and friends will be received at the Boal Memorial Chapel, Barton, on Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 2 to 4 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 4 p.m. officiated by Deacon Harold Bradley. A reception will follow at the Bloomington Fire Hall, provided by First Assembly of God Church in Westernport, where Denny attended services.
In accordance with his wishes, Denny will be cremated following the funeral service.
