Fort Ashby, WV - FORT ASHBY, W.Va. [mdash] Dorotha "Dottie" C. Everett, 88, of Fort Ashby, died Dec. 5, 2025, at UPMC-Western Maryland.

Born June 5, 1937, in Shafer, she was the daughter of the late Cletus Carskadon and Leota (Wotring) Carskadon Davis.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Leo Everett; her son-in-law, Barry Flowers; her stepfather, Perry Davis; and her sister, Twila Johnson, and husband, Gerald.

Dottie was a graduate of Bruce High School, Class of 1955.

She was Vice President at First Federal Savings Bank of Western Maryland, which later became Keystone Bank, and then M & T Bank. Dottie retired in 1999 with 44 years of service.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Dottie was a former member of the Fort Ashby Lioness Club, having served as Treasurer for 25 years.

Leo and Dottie enjoyed camping at Mt. Storm Lake with the Douthitts, Chaneys, and Hoeys; sharing many memorable times together.

Survivors include her children, Joseph "Joe" Everett and wife, Cindy; and Angela "Angie" Flowers; grandchildren, Andrea Everett and husband, Chris; Clarice Everett; Brian Flowers and wife, Lindsay; and Bruce Flowers and wife, Jayna; a great granddaughter, Ava Flowers; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at Trinity United Methodist Church, Fort Ashby, on Friday, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with Pastor Grace Langenstein and Pastor Scott Ingleton, officiating.

Interment will be in Fort Ashby Cemetery.
