Dorothy Elizabeth Emerick, 84, Meyersdale, Pa., died Dec. 22, 2021, at Meyersdale Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born, in Wellersburg, July 14, 1937, to the late William and Daisy (Hook) Emerick. Preceded in death by her parents; son, David Shaffer; brother, Howard "Bud" Emerick; sisters, Effie Sturtz, Marie Murray, and Velma Dawson.
Survived by her daughters, Janet (Grant) Custer, Betty Oster, and Anna (David) Merkel, all of Hyndman; grandchildren, Robin Custer, Rebecca Custer, Ernest Oster, Lisa Oster, Donald Merkel, and Trever Merkel; four great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Zembower; numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial at Cooks Cemetery, Wellersburg.
