Keyser - Edward Russell King, 89, of Keyser, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at home.
He was born May 15, 1927, in Reader, the son of the late Edward Ray and Thelma King.
He was a preacher for the Church of Christ for over 60 years and a member of the Cumberland Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Frank Higginbotham; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn King.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Marian Lemasters King; a son, Ron (Carolyn, whom was like an adopted daughter to Edward) King of Keyser; a daughter, Karen K. (Tom) Tucker of Fairmont; two brothers, Max (Nevella) King of Alabama, Lloyd King of New Martinsville; a sister, Rose Higginbotham of Fairmont; six grandchildren, Tim (Brenda) Tucker of Morgantown, Tracy Crites of Geneva, Ohio, Scott (Amy) King of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Jeff (Crystal) Tucker of Fairmont, Tanya (Jeremy) Laning of Geneva, Corey (Mandy) King of Romney; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Family received friends at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 751 Third St., New Martinsville, on Thursday, June 2, 2016, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, June 3, 2016, from 10 to 11 a.m.
Services will follow in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m.
Private interment in Beechwood Cemetery, Centerville.
