Frostburg, Maryland - Edward M. Schramm, 43, of Frostburg and raised in Barton, died on Oct. 25, 2025, after a period of illness.
Born Nov. 29, 1981, he was the son of the late James "Dimps" Schramm and Kathi (Booth) Schramm. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents; and his cousin, Marsha Broadwater.
Ed is survived by his wife, Shawna McGinnis; his daughters, Reece, Kira and Meredith; aunts, Margaret "Margie" Broadwater and husband Stanley, Barbara DeShong and husband Dwight; and uncle, John Schramm and wife Marla. Ed is also survived by many cousins, extended family and friends.
A father, a son, a friend and so much more, Ed Schramm was the mold breaker. Compassionate, loving, respectful and intelligent — there's an endless amount of words to describe the impact Ed had on everyone around him. His presence was like no other; he made people comfortable enough to fully express themselves around him. He had the most unique personality that you couldn't ever match it anywhere else. He was intense, emotional and thoughtful. He did everything with a purpose. He lived by his own standards, and I think that is something we can all admire.
Ed is cremated, and no services will take place.
