Westernport, Maryland - Elizabeth "Liz" Kertesz, 82, of Westernport, passed away on Jan. 21, 2026, at Moran Manor Nursing Center.

Born June 1, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Biddle) Amann. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Kertesz; and her sister, Rita McCrobie.

Liz is survived by her sister, Faye Warnick; and her brother, Paul Amann and wife Debbie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Liz was a member of Divine Mercy Parish St. Peter Catholic Church. She attended Catherman's Business School. Liz worked as a secretary for the judge at the Allegany County Courthouse.

Liz and her husband loved to travel. She especially loved the beach and soaking up the sun. Liz and Bob cherished their time spent at their home at Alpine Lake, where they spent much time entertaining and having fun. Liz enjoyed to roller skate. At one time, she and Bob attended roller skating classes. Liz also enjoyed shopping and spending time with her sister.

Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, from noon to 2 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2 p.m., with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating.
