Purgitsville, West Virginia - Ethel Louise Liller, age 86, of Purgitsville, W.Va., passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.

Born April 26, 1938, in Purgitsville, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Leroy Davy and Anna Nathelene (Harrison) Davy. Besides her parents, Louise is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Kenny B. Liller, who passed Dec. 14, 2010; her six brothers, Hilton, Paul, Robert, Richard, Samuel, and Earl; and four sisters, Lola, Mary, Wanda, and Myrtle.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Donita M. Baker and husband, Tommy of Delray, W.Va.; her son, Donald R. Liller and wife, Lisa of Purgitsville, W.Va.; her grandson, Jacob C. Baker; her step-grandchildren, Garrett T. Baker, Lyndsey V. McKee, and Brayden J. McKee; and her five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Bertha High of Winchester, Va., and Dorothy Davey of Purgitsville, W.Va.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Louise and Kenny married in 1974 and she spent her life as a homemaker raising her children and had a part in raising her nieces and nephews. She loved to cook and if you were ever a visitor at her house, you would leave with a full belly. She enjoyed gardening, canning, giving back to her community in various ways, and was a member of White Pine Church of the Brethren in Purgitsville. Louise was the glue that held the family together and she will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Friends will be received on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., at Shaffer Funeral Home in Romney, W.Va. Funeral services will immediately follow, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Denzil Davis officiating.

Interment will be at Elijah High Cemetery in Purgitsville, W.Va.
