SPRINGFIELD, W.Va. [mdash] Eugene Stanley George, 80, of Springfield, passed away at his residence on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024.
Born April 15, 1944, in Oldtown, Md., he was the son of the late Evers Garfield George and Mary Edna (Lambert) George Smith. Besides his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his sisters, Ginger Phillips, Shirley Lease, and Judy Plummer; his brothers, Johnny, Robert "Bob", and Edward "Bud" George; and his life-long companion, Doris E. Wolf.
Gene is survived by his biological children, Brenda Komatz, Bridget Caton, Skeeter George, and Belinda Crites; his siblings, Ray George (Lydia), Mary Kidwell, and David George (Laura); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gene was an Army Veteran who served in Vietnam.
Per Gene's wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no services.
