Cumberland, Maryland - Evelyn "Louise" Elliott, 94, of Cumberland, Md., passed away on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026, at Frostburg Rehab Center.

Born June 15, 1931, in Pennsylvania, Ms. Elliott was the daughter of the late George Raymond Lowery and Irene (Lowery) Lowery. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Floyd "Pete" S. Elliott, whom she married Aug. 27, 1949; her daughter-in-law, Diane Elliott; her siblings, Jack, Paul and Ray Lowery, Dorothy Diehl, Betty May, Carol Jenkins and Joan Wilson.

Louise graduated with the Allegany High School Class of 1949. She worked for Tupperware, McCrory's, Kings, and retired from Classic Hair. She was a longtime member of Park Place United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Young Mother's Circle and the board of trustees. She was also a past president of the United Methodist Women and the Dizzy Bees.

For many years, she taught literacy at Allegany Community College, was a member of the Neighborhood Watch Group and she was also a volunteer at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Louise leaves behind her children, Linda Carlomany and companion Mike Kirsch, Michael Elliott, and Kathy Miller and husband Dave; her grandchildren, Kayse Dunsmore and husband Mike; Jennifer Carlomany, Shannon Miller and fiancée Jenna, Aaron Miller and wife Shannon, Chelsea Elliott, Hannah Baskin and husband Brent, and Michael Kirsch and companion Leah; her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Emily, Chaz, Logan, Elliott, Nathan, Morgan, Erin, Josiah, Sophia, Finn, Georgia and Nathaniel; as well as two great-great-grandchildren, Paisley and Levi; her brother, Bobby Lowery and wife Lynda; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, MD, www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com, on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at Park Place United Methodist Church, 80 National Hwy., LaVale, MD, on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Mary George officiating.

Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to staff at Frostburg Rehab Center for all the care and compassion given to Mom during her stay.
